The Black Mail Of America

The Ambassador from Pakistan stated matter of factually America paid the price of 9/11 for not giving Aid to Afghanistan and Pakistan and implied another tragedy like 9/11 could befall America if it neglects the needs of those Countries. The behavior and voice were as if this was plain to all and understood by all.

This statement was made during a 4/28 interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN and in a reply to the question if Aid being cut to Pakistan would have a negative impact between both Nations. The Ambassador continued with we the people of Pakistan do not want to continue to receive aid but we must at this time. Blackmail by any other name is blackmail, a threat is a threat by any other name and here we have the Ambassador of Pakistan stating what he assumed was the obvious on prime time in America.

An offer the American People can not refuse right out of fiction but stated plainly and eloquently so no confusion and yet it goes unreported and ignored by a media that purports to have the American Peoples best interest at heart. Extorsion of monumental proportion's and talked about by the Ambassador as simple and accepted as a business deal.

Americans are supposed not to deal with Terrorist are not supposed to haggle with criminals and are supposed to be held to higher standard and here we have the Ambassador of a Foreign Power explaining his Nations need for ransom and while not outright threatening retaliation he did imply America needed to pay up one way or the other.

In these times of financial distress and cutting Foreign Aid being discussed as the first step in reducing our debt it is enlightening to learn how one foreign power sees Americas aid and what would happen if it was cut. Where is the outrage that such a statement should bring and where is the American Congress in this matter.

Wow reading the above lines written on 4/30 is just unreal for me since so much has happened since that time. Imagine Americas most viled man was found in the Nation that was calmly and collectively Black Mailing the American People. Then came stories of the White House, Congress, and the people questioning the Pakis honesty, loyalty, and motives. Calls from Congress members to cut aid and diplomatic channels were made, some Americans felt more harsher methods were in order.

The media spoke about the Lobbyist in America being paid 75,000 a month by the Pakis to represent their intrest here in America. Just what are those interest here in America, well that is vague but 3billion a year in Aid is a good place to start. 3 billion appears not to by much as far as intelligence, loyalty or respect goes and what it does buy is rather translucent and ethereal.

Today the NSA director Tom Donilon has come out and stated to "the best of his knowledge" I have to stop right here folks after years of watching Senate hearings this string of words foreshadows a half truth/or deceptive response that the Pakis had no direct knowledge of Americas most wanted villain. Notice direct being used and added where no knowledge would have been suffice. You would be lead to believe indirect knowledge would be acceptable and no reason to cut the 3 billion?

Then we have the Ex VP Dick "I thought you were a bird"Cheney saying "it is important to have good relations with the Pakistanis"If he means the sexual sort I'd say they were happy with the position we've taken until recently. Yeah they lead us right to Osama right Dick?People don't go hunting with Dick never.

The ranks are closing in the spin is in and we have 3 billion burning a whole in our pockets and Pakistanis ready to put the fire out. Friends you can buy is what the Pakis are but our parents said friends you can buy are the ones you don't need. My parents taught that but maybe my parents were wrong. Just what dothe Pakis have on us? Tapes of Aliens waving the American Flag? Whatever it is for another 3 billion we should get all the evidence and stop the Black Mail.

Blackmail is such an ugly word I prefer extortion....they warned us not to do it again..so if we find Zawari on a beach in Pakistan (do they have beaches) should we rent him an umbrella? The next time why don't we just vaporized the neighborhood and deny any knowlege of it being us...

Blackmail = act of forcing someone to pay money.

Extortion = crime of forcing someone to pay money.

My take on the situation: govt is amok, foreign policy amok, deficits amok.

Pakistan has nuclear weapons. We must take on interest for that reason alone.

Simple solution: Stop giving the goddam Pakistani blackmailers foreign aid and let them know that the next terrorist incident will be on their sorry heads.

If we had done this in the forms of education, agricultural and medical aid fifty years ago rather than using the region for our own purposes then perhaps we may not be facing this type of issue today. But having said that my philosophy has always been if one hits one with a stick then hit them back with a brick. Today is today and the past is the past.
